Inserting a photo into the static content widget

Inserting a picture in the Static content widget

  • Sign in to your netAdventist website.
  • Select the Dashboard link at the bottom of the homepage.
  • Select the File Library tab at the top of the page.
  • Next, select the Photos folder from the left navigation bar and select the photo you wish to show from the list by selecting the row that the file is on. The photo will appear in the File details panel.
  • Right click on the photo or on the download link and select properties.
  • Highlight the URL web address shown there with a right click and then select copy.
  • Select the Website Pages tab at the top of the page. The homepage preview is displayed by default. Select the Edit link at the top of the page in the preview. Or you can select Content Pages and choose a page to edit by selecting it.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Edit current template and widgets.
  • Select Next twice to go to the third step in the template and widgets wizard. If have not done so already, select Click here to add widgets and add the static content widget by selecting the checkbox and the Add Widget button.
  • Select the Static content widget edit blue link on the actual widget to get to the widget editor. Place your cursor where you what the photo to go.
  • Choose the Insert/Edit image tool from the editor. A small box opens. Put your cursor in the url field and paste in the web address you copied from the file library. Remove any text after the file extension at the end of the web address. Ex. If it's a jpg file and your file shows myfile.jpg1234502ws remove the 1234502ws from the end. Adjust the file size in pixels by entering it into the fields provided.
  • Select the Insert button in the Insert/Edit image tool box.
  • The photo will appear in the static content widget. Select Done with finished in the widget edit. Once completely finished select Done in the template and widget wizard to close the box.
  • Return to the homepage and either view your static widget there or on the content page you where the Static content widget is placed.
