Uservoice
Purpose: Uservoice is a system that allows you to show your customers a up to the minute suggestion and bug report list and allow users to rate the issue up to ten times to establish importance.
- Click on the Bug/Feature request menu button or go to http://www.netadventist.org/bugs. (Note: Any of the www.netadventist.org website pages will allow to go to Uservoice)
- Look for the red “Feedback” button on the left site of the page.
- This will open a small lightbox in the center of the page showing current issues. Select the link in the page called “Go to our feedback form”.
- The netAdventist Uservoice page is displayed.
- Click the “Signup” link on the top right.
- Select the Login or signup for Google from the list or if not already selected, select the Google icon. Then select the “Continue sign-in” button.
- You will be taken to a screen where your sign information has already been added. Select the “sign-in” on the left where you google email and user name are already entered. (Note: If you had a netAdventist email before netAserve, that will be the one select.) It will not allow you to use the user id twice and most of us have the same one for our netAserve Google email account.
- You are automatically signed and taken to the netAdventist Uservoice page. There are two forums we are using Bugs and Suggestions. The default is the suggestion forum. These buttons are located on the right in the middle of the column. In each forum, you can select the vote icon to add your vote to a item you want to be more important. Also, if you select the item itself you can add a comment if needed.
- Start typing in the “I Suggest....” field. Notice that as you type issues with similar topic are pulled to the top and the similar text is highlighted. Review these to see if your issue is already entered or not. If the issue is already posted, add your vote. If not select the “Create Idea” button.
- After selecting “Create New Idea” a lightbox opens allowing you to add a description. Select the number of votes in the “Spend how many votes” drop down then select the “Suggest It” button. Your new entry will be added to the list.
- You are returned to the suggestion entry page. Once an item is entered you can set a status by selecting the “Set Status” button on the right next the description. The status is important to show the customers what is happening with their bugs or suggestions. Set planned, under review, started etc.
- Now that you have a Uservoice account will automatically be sent emails with the current list of Bugs and Suggestions. To turn off the emails go to setting in the top right of the screen.
- Uncheck the checkbox in the settings section on the left and then save.
- To return to the main activities tab on the top left of the page. Next select “Suggestion forum”. You will be taken back to the forum.
- Continue working with the forum.
